I'm a philosopher. I work mainly in ethics - especially metaethics - and areas related to it: aesthetics, political philosophy, epistemology, and metaphysics.

I'm am Prof. of Applied Ethics at the University of Leeds and Director of IDEA. I was previously at the University of Kent, where for many years I was Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
